Python Intro
Python is a programming language for giving step-by-step instructions to a computer. Its words stay close to everyday English.
Print a greeting
print() shows text on the screen. The text inside quotes is a string.
print("Hello from Python!")Print two lines
Each print() call makes a new line.
print("Python is friendly.")
print("Python is powerful.")Python reads like English
Read the code aloud. It sounds close to plain words.
print("Welcome to the course.")Example
print("Welcome to Python Beginner!")
print("You will learn by doing.")
print("Let us write code together.")Key points
- Python: a programming language with words close to everyday English
- Use Python to build websites and apps
- Use Python to explore data and make charts
- Use Python to automate small repeated tasks
- Use Python to build AI and smart tools
- String: text written inside quotes, like "Hello"
- Interpreter: a program that reads your code and runs it line by line
In this example, the first line prints a welcome title. The second line prints what you will do in the course. The third line prints a friendly closing line. Together, the three lines form a small welcome card.
Note
Python is interpreted, so code runs at once.
There is no separate build step first.
